About: The Brooklyn District Attorney’s 2025 Winter & Spring High School Internships offer an overview of one of the largest DA’s offices in the country. Selected students will participate in workshops, conversations, and presentations regarding law enforcement. Interactive participation will be required. ​​

About:
The High School Division of the Sonia & Celina Sotomayor Judicial Internship Program (The Sotomayor Program) encourages diverse and underrepresented high school students from communities among the five New York City boroughs to pursue careers in the law.

About:
RECESS is a paid intensive internship program teens 13 to 18 to learn about art and art history with other NYC teens, develop and lead peer-to-peer tours, and learn how museums work. The internships take place during NYC public schools’ winter and spring breaks.
RECESS I will be held Tuesday, February 18 to Friday, February 25, 2025 from 10 am to 12 pm with a culminating event from 5–6 pm on Friday, February 21, 2025.​​

Urban Fellows Program 2025
Eligibility:
Eligibility is based on when applicants achieve their undergraduate (BA, BS) degree from a four-year college. For the 2025-2026 program, we will only accept applications from candidates who:

About:
The Urban Fellows Program is a highly selective, nine-month fellowship which combines work in Mayoral offices and City agencies with volunteer service opportunities and a seminar series that explores current urban issues impacting public policy. Program participants are diverse and come from all over the country to work in New York City.
After participating in an extensive interview process, New York City Urban Fellows are placed at an array of agencies across the City where they learn about public policy through a hands-on approach.

The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Scholars Program offers stipend-paid internship opportunities for undergraduate and graduate-level university students pursuing STEM degrees, as well as upper-level high school students; select locations also offer internships to university students pursuing education-related degrees and K–12 professional educators. The selected interns gain valuable hands-on experiences working with full-time AFRL scientists and engineers on cutting-edge research and technology and are able to contribute to unique, research-based projects. The Rockefeller University: Jumpstart Program 2025
Program Duration:

About:
RockEDU’s Jumpstart program supports 16 high school students attending NYC schools in a combined after-school and summer research experience. The Jumpstart program takes place across two phases, spanning March through August. In the first phase students will work on campus after school (5 hours per week), and in the second phase students will work on campus full-time (~35 hours per week). The 2025 Jumpstart session will take place in person, and is designed to promote the development of scientific thinking and research skills through a variety of talks, workshops, and individual mentorship. The Jumpstart program is a unit within the New York City Science Research Mentoring Consortium (NYC SRMC), and is supported by the Pinkerton Foundation.
Students without prior research experience and/or have been excluded from adequate STEM opportunities are strongly encouraged to apply.

About: The Biorocket Research Internship Program is a 6-month science research internship experience for New York City public and charter high school students age 16 and up.

Brooklyn Botanical Garden Apprenticeship Program- 2025
About: The Garden Apprentice Program (GAP) at Brooklyn Botanic Garden is a great way for teens to learn about urban agriculture and the environment while working in one of the most exciting public gardens in the world! Apprentices can work their way up the four-tier program.
​Eligibility: ​ ​Students in grades 9th-12th. ​​

Apprentices who successfully complete Tiers 1–3 are given a one-time nontaxable reimbursement upon completion of the program in November. Apprentices in Tiers 1–3 are not employees, and there are no fees to participate. The allotment for each tier aims to reimburse apprentices for personal expenses accrued while participating in GAP. This includes sun/insect protection, shoes, outdoor clothing and gear, cellular fees to communicate with staff, lunch money, transportation, some program materials, and college preparation fees (Tier 3 only).

Apprentices who complete the program year with perfect attendance, as defined by the GAP handbook, will receive an additional reimbursement of $50.

​Apprentices typically work an average of 4–6 hours per week during the spring and fall and 20–25 hours per week during summer programming. Over the course of the year, our apprentices spend approximately 190–220 hours at the Garden. All apprentices have mandatory training on three full Saturdays in March.
